TEACUPS AND TAILS
OPEN ALL EASTER LONG WEEKEND
Teacups & Tails is a vibrant new exhibition by local creatives Elizabeth MacDonald and
Elizabeth's collection of delicate dry-point watercolours depicts our relationship with heirlooms, telling stories of owners past and present.
Karen's love of animals is evident in her avant garde oil portraits of beloved furred and feathered friends.
KAREN PIKE
Karen’s experience in art making, designing and healing has spanned more that 40 years and includes painting in acrylics and oils, drawing in charcoal and pastels, photography, ceramics, jewellery and ritual object making.
Her paintings and drawings reflect her love of nature - animals, birds, the elements.
“I believe there is spirit in all things.
I deeply love anything that uplifts the heart or empowers the spirit, things that heal
……dogs heal…..no pun intended.”
Karen’s contribution to this exhibition is all about dogs and their shining presence in our lives.
“I believe dogs are incredibly special creatures
ever trusting, always adoring, ultimately forgiving, simple and joyful.
They are our dear companions, confidants and, for some, family.
Painting in oils on canvas I aim to show their individuality.
Highlighting them with gold leaf I illustrate their importance and how much light they bring to our lives.
To me dogs are golden.”
