This exhibition is a collaborative engagement by many artists from the Macleay and Hastings, as well as students from some Macleay schools. Together, with a poem about the life of Humpback Whales and some appropriate whale mood music, the artworks will inspire you to think another way about these magnificent creatures that annually migrate up and down our coast on their round trip journey of life.

Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery was developed to enhance the cultural aspects of the Macleay Valley community through the attraction of travelling and local exhibitions and to facilitate cultural growth through providing a space for local artists to exhibit and generate income.

The gallery is managed by a volunteer community committee on behalf of Kempsey Shire Council and is staffed by volunteers and artists
