Brooke was born in Port Macquarie, studied at National Art School and Julian Ashton’s in Sydney then lived for many years on the Isle of Wight UK. She has always painted on the side while working in various roles including wedding photography. Now settled near Kempsey she has more time to dedicate to her art making. 

Brooke has always been fascinated by the beauty of nature and light on landscape. She is drawn to experimenting with mark making and recently discovered ceramics as a medium that is wonderfully responsive to her experimental style. Using either acrylic or oil paint on canvas, her painting seeks to allude to memory rather than the detail of reality.
